Saudi CEO Sings Praises of Saudi League Due to Al-Hilal
Friday 04-07-2025
Steve Kalzada, the CEO of Al-Hilal, expressed the emotional moments he experienced during the match against his former team Manchester City in the Round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup. He described the encounter as a "very special moment".

Despite Al-Hilal scoring goals, Kalzada said he tried to contain his emotions out of respect for the club he previously worked with, likening the situation to a player who scores against his former team but does not celebrate.

Kalzada clarified that the match was the first time he wished for Manchester City's defeat, despite his love for the club, a rare feeling for him, but he was driven by his current loyalty to Al-Hilal.

He praised the significant leaps in the level of the Saudi league, confirming that the competition has become more competitive, and that the physical performance and fitness have reached levels comparable to European leagues.

Kalzada revealed that Al-Hilal players, Nevez and Savic, informed him that they run longer distances in the Saudi league compared to what they used to cover in Europe, indicating the strength of the physical pace of the matches.

Kalzada concluded his remarks by pointing out that this rapid growth is encouraging, emphasizing the need for the Saudi league to gain more global attention, especially with the presence of major stars and significant investments.
