Mauro Abdelrazek Shikabala, the captain of Zamalek, sent a message to Al-Ahly fans after retiring from football, marking the end of his long journey with the White Castle.

Shikabala stated in an interview on MBC Masr 2: "There is currently no problem between me and Al-Ahly fans, and it is natural that my mentality has changed with age."

He continued: "I could not bear what happened from Al-Ahly fans against me, and as I said before, I was forced to respond to them because the officials did not intervene to hold them accountable and give me my rights in such situations."

He added: "At the moment, there is no problem with Al-Ahly fans, and I want to retire without any issues with anyone; I was just a reaction."

Shikabala continued: "My behavior during the Port Said events was natural because the situation does not tolerate affiliations, and I hope that Egyptian football develops and we see a local team repeat the achievements of Al-Hilal Saudi in the Club World Cup."
