Thursday 03-07-2025
FIFA has selected Moroccan Yassine Bono and Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly, players of Al Hilal Saudi Club, in the ideal lineup for the Round of 16 of the Club World Cup 2025, following their remarkable performance in the match against Manchester City, which ended with Al Hilal winning 4-3.

Bono delivered an exceptional performance, saving 11 shots, 8 of which were inside the penalty area against City's stars, leading his team to the quarter-finals. In the group stage, he had saved a penalty against Real Madrid, maintaining a 1-1 draw.

The ideal lineup announced by FIFA included prominent names from major clubs, with Bono in goal, alongside defenders Reece James, Thiago Silva, Koulibaly, and Achraf Hakimi. In midfield, there were Richarlison, Joao Neves, and Cole Palmer, while the forward line consisted of Gonzalo Garcia, Harry Kane, and Serhou Guirassy.

Bono continues to affirm his status as one of the best goalkeepers globally, following a career filled with achievements with the Moroccan national team, Sevilla, and now with Al Hilal in the Club World Cup.
