Saudi Al-Akhdood Interested in Signing Imam Ashour
The Saudi newspaper "Okaz" revealed the desire of Saudi club Al-Akhdood to contract with Imam Ashour, the star of Al-Ahly, during the current summer transfer window.
According to the newspaper, Al-Akhdood sent an official letter to Al-Ahly club requesting to determine the financial value to negotiate the contract with midfielder Imam Ashour.
It added: "Although Al-Akhdood is interested in contracting with Imam Ashour, estimates indicate that the chances of completing the deal remain slim due to the coaching staff's insistence on keeping the player, considering him one of the key pillars in midfield, even after the return of Malian Aliou Dieng from loan and the signing of Tunisian international Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan."
The player suffered an injury during Al-Ahly's match in the first round of the Club World Cup against American Inter Miami.
