Liverpool FC has officially announced several changes within the coaching staff led by coach Arne Slot, in preparation for the upcoming 2025/2026 season.

The club revealed the appointment of former Dutch star Giovanni van Bronckhorst as the assistant coach, who will take on his duties after obtaining a work visa. Van Bronckhorst has extensive coaching experience, having managed Feyenoord in the Netherlands, Guangzhou in China, Rangers in Scotland, and Beşiktaş in Turkey.

Liverpool also announced the return of Spanish coach Xavi Valero to take on the role of goalkeeping coach for the first team, after a period spent with West Ham United. Valero previously worked with Liverpool alongside coach Rafael Benitez in several past stints.

On the other hand, the club confirmed the departure of both Fabian Otte and Claudio Taffarel from the coaching staff, with Otte leaving after one season, while Taffarel concludes his journey with Liverpool, which began in 2021 and included a period during which the team won several domestic titles.
