Al-Qadisiyah Enters the Race for Jonathan David with a Stunning Offer
Wednesday 02-07-2025
In a surprising development in the transfer market, Saudi club Al-Qadisiyah has joined the list of clubs aspiring to sign Canadian striker Jonathan David, amid fierce competition from Italian club Juventus, which was until recently the closest to securing his signature.

Al-Qadisiyah has intensified its negotiations over the past 48 hours, conducting continuous communications with the player's agents, trying to persuade him to come to the Roshan Saudi League, after officially ending his relationship with French club Lille.

According to a report published by the Italian newspaper "Tutto Mercato", the Saudi club made a huge financial offer to David's agent, amounting to 15 million euros in commission, along with an attractive annual salary that exceeds what Juventus offered.

The Italian club is facing financial difficulties that may limit its competitiveness, giving Al-Qadisiyah an advantage if the player accepts this generous offer, especially as he is open to experiencing something new outside of Europe.

Jonathan David has not yet made a decision, and he stated after Canada's exit from the Gold Cup: "I am not thinking about my future right now; I need some rest before making the right decision".

If the deal falls through, Al-Qadisiyah has prepared an alternative plan that includes pursuing Italian striker Moise Kean, with the management ready to activate his release clause and offer an annual salary ranging between 12 and 13 million euros.
