Atletico Madrid continues its efforts to sign midfielder Davide Frattesi from Inter Milan, amid a strong desire from the Spanish club to strengthen its midfield for the upcoming season.

After Atletico Madrid successfully reached an agreement with Atalanta to sign Italian Matteo Ruggeri, who is expected to be officially announced soon, attention is once again turning to the Italian market, where the Frattesi deal represents a new target for the club.

Initially, Inter attempted to include Giuliano Simeone, Atletico Madrid's winger and son of coach Diego Simeone, in the deal, but the Spanish club firmly rejected this proposal, leading negotiations to focus on the financial aspect.

Negotiations are still in their early stages, as no official announcement has yet been made by either party, and Inter is expected to determine its final position on the possibility of parting with Frattesi, in addition to the details of the potential financial terms of the deal.
