
Liverpool Announces Contract Renewal for Tre Nyoni
Liverpool FC announced today, Monday, the signing of a long-term contract with their young player Tre Nyoni, following his celebration of his eighteenth birthday.
Nyoni joined the Reds in September 2023 and participated last season with several age groups within the club, including the under-18, under-19, and under-21 teams, in addition to appearing with the first team in six matches.
The player played five matches under coach Arne Slot in the 2024/2025 season, achieving a new record by becoming the fourth youngest player to appear in an official match for Liverpool, when he played against Southampton in the FA Cup at the age of 16 years and 243 days.
Nyoni also recorded another historic achievement when he came on as a substitute in the match against PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Champions League, becoming the youngest player in Liverpool's history to participate in a European competition, at the age of 17 years and 213 days.
