
Aston Villa Announces Departure of Rashford and Asensio
Aston Villa Football Club has officially announced the departure of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio from the team, following the end of their loan periods from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
The club stated: "Both Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford, along with Axel Disasi, joined Aston Villa on loan in February until the end of the 2024/2025 season."
It added: "Attacking midfielder Asensio enjoyed 21 matches in the Aston Villa shirt, scoring eight goals, including three goals in the two-legged Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League against Club Brugge."
It continued: "Forward Rashford participated in 17 matches with the club, contributing nine goals across all competitions, scoring two goals in the FA Cup quarter-finals against Preston North End."
It further stated: "Defender Disasi joined from Chelsea and played in 10 matches with Villa, with his first match against Ipswich Town in mid-February."
The statement concluded: "Everyone at Aston Villa extends their gratitude to all the players for their efforts and outstanding commitment to the club, and wishes them all the best in the future."
