Juventus Targets Laporte Amid Complex Negotiations
Monday 30-06-2025
According to the Italian newspaper "Corriere dello Sport", Juventus management has set its sights on Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte after their negotiations with Marseille were hindered by the refusal to part with Argentine Leonardo Balerdi.

The newspaper clarified that Laporte, who has 40 international caps with the Spanish national team, has become out of favor with Saudi club Al-Nassr, making him a strong candidate to leave the Saudi league this summer.

Despite Laporte's name being recently linked with Olympique Marseille, the deal has not progressed, opening the door for Juventus to take advantage of the situation and enter negotiations to bring him into their ranks.

According to reports, Juventus is preparing an official offer worth 10 million euros to sign the Spanish defender, in an effort to bolster their backline in preparation for next season's competitions.

The main obstacle facing Juventus management lies in the salary demanded by Laporte, estimated at 5 million euros annually over three years, a figure the management is looking to reduce to finalize the deal.
