The management of Al-Akhdod Club has started its moves to strengthen the team for the new season, as it has entered into serious negotiations with Muhannad Al-Yahya, the goalkeeper of Al-Fateh Club, according to informed sources revealed to the newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah".

The 20-year-old goalkeeper has shown interest in taking on a new experience, but he has not yet finalized his position, while Al-Akhdod's management is eagerly awaiting to finalize the deal as soon as possible.

Al-Yahya's last official appearance was with the Saudi U-23 national team in the Maurice Revello International Tournament (Toulon), where he showcased impressive performances that drew attention to his abilities.

On the other hand, Al-Akhdod has finalized its first summer deal by signing the German player of Turkish descent, Gokhan Gul, in a deal estimated at around 10 million euros, with a contract extending for two seasons.

The 26-year-old player is expected to undergo medical examinations in the coming days, in preparation for signing the official contracts and joining the team's training.

Gul is proficient in playing in the pivot position, and he is expected to be a strong addition to the southern team aiming to improve its results after a difficult season in the Roshan League.

The team successfully managed to stay in the Roshan League for the second consecutive season after a thrilling victory over Al-Khaleej 3-2 in the last round, finishing the season in fifteenth place, one point ahead of Al-Wahda.
