According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Al-Najma Saudi Club is monitoring the situation of Al-Ahly Egyptian player Ahmed Abdelkader, amidst a decline in his participation with the team and increasing speculation about his desire to pursue a professional experience abroad.

The Egyptian player is going through an unstable period within Al-Ahly, having distanced himself from the starting lineup, which has encouraged Al-Najma to consider signing him, taking advantage of the tension between him and the coaching staff of the Red team.

According to the newspaper, Al-Najma has not only been following Abdelkader but has also expanded its interest to include Mahmoud Zalaka, the star of Pyramids, who has caught the spotlight this season, becoming a target for several clubs in the region.

The management of Al-Najma is preparing for serious moves to acquire the Egyptian duo as part of a plan to strengthen the team with distinguished players from the Egyptian league, especially with the increasing appeal of the Saudi league in recent seasons.

According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, Abdelkader's position with Al-Ahly has not yet been settled, while Zalaka is hesitating to respond to offers, amidst Pyramids' management's insistence on keeping him, but financial temptations could change the equation.
