Reports have revealed that FC Barcelona is prepared to facilitate the departure of their Uruguayan defender Ronald Araújo during the summer transfer window, as part of the club's efforts to generate additional financial resources ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," the buyout clause in Araújo's contract is expected to decrease from one billion euros to only 70 million euros during the period from July 1 to July 10. After this period, the buyout clause will revert back to one billion euros.

Italian club Juventus is among the most interested in signing Araújo, as the opportunity is now available for them and other clubs looking to acquire the player to take advantage of this temporary reduction.

It is worth noting that Araújo, who is 26 years old, has a long-term contract with Barcelona that runs until June 2031, and he has played 175 matches with the Catalan team across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 7 assists.
