The Iraqi National Olympic Committee announced today, Sunday, the formation of a temporary administrative body to manage the affairs of Al-Zawraa Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in the history of Iraqi football, as part of reformative steps aimed at ensuring stability in the administrative and organizational work within the club, leading up to the upcoming electoral phase.

According to the decision issued by the committee, engineer Mohammed Muthanna will head the temporary body, while former international player Mushtaq Aziz will serve as vice president, and Ghith Abdulghani has been appointed as secretary, with Haidar Shanshul taking on the responsibilities of the financial secretary.

The new administrative formation also includes several well-known sports figures: Laith Hussein, Dawood Salman, Mahmoud Karim, and Saad Atiyah, all of whom possess a sports and administrative background that qualifies them to manage the difficult transitional phase the club is undergoing.

The Olympic Committee confirmed in its statement that this formation comes as part of its efforts to secure a stable and effective transitional phase within Al-Zawraa Club, with the temporary body being responsible for managing the club's affairs and organizing its daily operations, in preparation for holding comprehensive democratic elections to choose a new administrative body that represents the aspirations of the club's fans and aligns with its future ambitions.

This step is one of the serious attempts to restructure the Zawraa house after a period of administrative confusion and disputes over authorities and overlaps, a phase that the Al-Nawras fans are counting on to return to institutional stability, which will positively reflect on the team's results in various tournaments.
