Media figure Khaled Al-Ghandour stated that a source from Zamalek club confirmed that the club inquired about the possibility of acquiring Fakhry Lakai, a player from Ceramica Cleopatra, through intermediaries.

Al-Ghandour continued during the program "Stadium Al-Mahwar": "Zamalek has shown a strong desire to sign the player and was planning to present an offer that includes exchange deals involving some players from the white team, in order to facilitate the completion of the deal."

He added: "However, the coaching staff of Ceramica, led by coach Ali Maher, completely rejected the idea of relinquishing Lakai's services, due to his importance in the team's attacking line."

He concluded: "In response to the coaching staff's desire, the Ceramica management decided to close the door on the idea of Lakai's departure this summer, confirming their full commitment to keeping him within the team."
