Real Madrid Defeats Salzburg and Qualifies as Group Leader

Real Madrid achieved a deserved victory against their counterpart Salzburg with a score of three goals to none, in the third round of the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup, at Lincoln Financial Field.

Real Madrid took the lead through Vinicius Junior in the 41st minute after receiving a pass from Bellingham, then dribbled past the defender and shot a low ball at the edge of the penalty area that found the net.

Fede Valverde scored the second goal for Real Madrid in the 45+4 minute after a ball reached Vinicius, who entered the penalty area and then backheeled it to Valverde, who shot it into the net.

Salzburg improved their performance in the second half and created some dangerous chances, but Courtois and Real Madrid's defense were vigilant and managed to thwart Salzburg's dangerous opportunities, before Gonzalo Garcia scored the third goal in the 84th minute.

Real Madrid raised their points to 7 at the top of the group, while Salzburg's points remained at 4 in third place.

It is worth mentioning that Real Madrid will face Juventus in the round of 16.
