Barcelona Attempts to Sign Brazilian Talent
Yesterday, Deco, the sporting director of Barcelona, met with officials from Sport Recife to negotiate the signing of Brazilian talent Zé Lucas to the Catalan club, according to journalist Carlos Monfort.
It was reported that if an agreement is reached, the player may have to stay for another year in Brazil due to current restrictions on registering minor players from outside the European Union in Europe, which do not allow for transfers until the age of 18.
Recent reports indicate that the deal is close to completion, as Barcelona is expected to successfully sign the talented 17-year-old midfielder.
Zé Lucas has only started participating with his club's first team five months ago and has played 14 matches so far.
