Monaco Shows Interest in Signing Ter Stegen
Thursday 26-06-2025
Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that French club Monaco has shown strong interest in signing German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, the Barcelona keeper, during the summer transfer window.

Monaco's move comes as they seek to strengthen their goalkeeping position after a season marked by fluctuations in this regard. The newspaper indicated that the French club's management has already contacted Ter Stegen's representatives to inquire about his stance on a potential transfer, taking advantage of ongoing discussions with Barcelona regarding a loan deal for Ansu Fati.

Despite this interest, "Mundo Deportivo" noted that the German goalkeeper is still keen on remaining with Barcelona, where he is under contract until 2028. However, joining Monaco remains a plausible option in the long term, especially with the French team participating in the UEFA Champions League.

It is worth mentioning that negotiations between the two clubs have included discussions on several potential formats for the goalkeeper's transfer, whether through a loan or a permanent sale, with the player's deferred salary being considered as a factor that could facilitate reaching a future agreement.
