Konate Plans to Leave Liverpool for Free
Thursday 26-06-2025
Reliable journalist Santi Aouna revealed that French defender Ibrahima Konate intends to leave Liverpool at the end of his contract in the summer of 2026 as a free agent, without extending his current deal with the 'Reds'.

According to the report, Konate has started to seriously consider experiencing a new challenge away from the English Premier League, and he wants to take control of his destiny in the upcoming transfer, which explains his desire to wait until his contract ends to become available for free.

The 25-year-old French international defender joined Liverpool in 2021 from RB Leipzig and has delivered strong performances that have made him a key player in the team's lineup, as well as participating in several major tournaments with the French national team.

Several reports have claimed that Konate is considering a move to Real Madrid for free at the end of next season, to join his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined the Spanish giants this summer for free.

It is worth mentioning that Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are interested in signing the French player.
