The Investment Fund Denies Reducing Ownership of Major Clubs
Thursday 26-06-2025
The newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" categorically dismissed the circulating news regarding the Saudi Public Investment Fund's intention to reduce its investments in the major Roshan League clubs.

The newspaper confirmed that the rumors about the fund retaining ownership of only one club among Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ahli are completely unfounded.

It emphasized that the current organizational and ownership structure will continue without any changes, denying any plans to sell shares of the other three clubs to any external or internal parties.

The newspaper considered the circulating information as mere rumors lacking official sources, urging followers to verify accuracy and obtain information from reliable sources.

It is noteworthy that the fund announced in June 2023 its acquisition of 75% of the shares of the four clubs, while the remaining 25% is owned by the Saudi Ministry of Sports.
