Chelsea Renew Interest in Ter Stegen from Barcelona
Thursday 26-06-2025
Reports have revealed that English club Chelsea has renewed its communications with Barcelona to inquire about the status of German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, as part of the club's plan to strengthen the goalkeeping position during the summer transfer window.

According to the website "CaughtOffside", Chelsea has recently returned to request information regarding Ter Stegen's situation, confirming that he remains on the list of options to bolster this position, especially after the London club failed to reach an agreement with Milan regarding the signing of Mike Maignan.

This comes at a time when Ter Stegen is contemplating his future with Barcelona, following the Catalan club's signing of goalkeeper Juan Garcia, in addition to the arrival of Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny as a reliable backup under coach Hansi Flick.

Meanwhile, Manchester United has also made similar inquiries about the possibility of signing the 33-year-old German goalkeeper, as they seek to find a replacement for Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana, while Chelsea will continue to monitor developments in the situation over the coming weeks without making a final decision at this time.
