Jorge Jesus a Candidate to Coach Al Nassr After Leaving Al Hilal
Wednesday 25-06-2025
The Portuguese newspaper "A Bola" revealed that coach Jorge Jesus, the former technical director of Al Hilal, has become a candidate to take over the coaching of Al Nassr, succeeding the Italian Stefano Pioli, who the club recently announced has officially left, amid reports linking him to a return to the Italian league via Fiorentina.

This nomination comes at a time when Al Nassr, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, is working to enhance its technical project in preparation for the new season and to compete strongly for local and continental titles. Ronaldo had bid farewell to Pioli with an emotional message on his accounts, written in Italian.

Jesus's potential move to Al Nassr recalls the controversial scenario of his transfer from Benfica to Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, and he now faces a similar transfer opportunity between rivals in Saudi Arabia, from Al Hilal to Al Nassr.

Al Nassr has a long record with Portuguese coaches, most notably Artur Jorge, Rui Vitoria, and Luis Castro, reflecting the administration's confidence in the Portuguese school. So far, Al Nassr has not officially announced the identity of its next coach.
