
Esperance Bids Farewell to Club World Cup After Loss to Chelsea
The Tunisian club Esperance Sportive de Tunis departed from the Club World Cup after a 3-0 loss to Chelsea in the final group stage match early Wednesday morning.
Chelsea took the lead through Tosin Adarabioyo in the 45+3 minute, while Liam Delap scored a second goal for the Blues shortly after in the 45+5 minute.
In the 90+7 minute, Chelsea scored a third goal through Terik George.
Chelsea's points rose to 6, placing them second in Group D, just one point behind leaders Flamengo, while Esperance remained third with 3 points, two points behind Los Angeles at the bottom of the group.
Chelsea will face Benfica in the Round of 16.
