Manchester City Opens Negotiations with Real Madrid for Rodrigo
Tuesday 24-06-2025
Manchester City has begun its efforts to sign Brazilian winger Rodrigo, a player for Real Madrid, following his participation with the team in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

According to the Spanish newspaper "okdiario", Real Madrid's management has set an initial price for selling Rodrigo at 100 million euros, with a willingness to reduce the amount to between 80 and 85 million euros, with the remaining amount to be paid in comfortable installments.

Rodrigo, who is 24 years old, is considered one of the most prominent names in the summer transfer market, amid interest from several major European clubs, as well as offers from Saudi clubs. The player is facing a difficult period with Real Madrid after receiving criticism regarding his recent performance.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, sees Rodrigo as an ideal option to strengthen the attacking front, especially since he has admired his abilities since his remarkable performance in the 2022 Champions League. It is expected that City will give him the opportunity to play as a starter, particularly in the left-wing position that he prefers, which is currently occupied by his compatriot Vinicius Junior at Real Madrid.
