Injury Excludes Al-Saad from Saudi National Team Considerations
Sunday 22-06-2025
Mohannad Al-Saad, the star of the Saudi national team, continues to follow his rehabilitation program with the medical staff, as official sources confirmed that the player did not participate in the group training held on Sunday in preparation for the match against Trinidad and Tobago.

According to what was published by the Saudi national team account on the 'X' platform, the chances of Al-Saad participating in the match on Monday, as part of the third round of the group stage in the Gold Cup, are almost nonexistent.

The player suffered a muscle injury before the match against Haiti, which caused him to miss the matches against Haiti and the USA, thus being absent from the entire journey of the Green team so far in the tournament.

The Saudi national team needs to secure a victory against Trinidad to guarantee qualification for the next round, without relying on the result of the other match between the USA and Haiti.

The Green team held its final training session under the guidance of French coach Hervé Renard at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where the session focused on warm-up exercises, tactics, and drills, ending with stretching exercises.

The beginning of the Green team's journey in the tournament saw a difficult victory against Haiti with a single goal, before the team suffered a loss by the same score against the American team, making the match against Trinidad crucial.
