Al-Zawraa Moves Internally.. Financial Penalties Imposed on Team Players After Decline in Results
Saturday 21-06-2025
In a decisive step aimed at correcting the course and regaining prestige, the temporary committee of Al-Zawraa Club recommended imposing financial penalties on the players of the first football team, following a noticeable decline in performance and results during the recent rounds of the Iraqi Stars League, especially after losses in the last two rounds of the tournament against Al-Qasim and Al-Karkh.

The temporary administrative committee confirmed that this decision was based on the internal disciplinary regulations adopted by the club, which stipulate the necessity of holding accountable any unjustified failure within the team, indicating that the penalties aim to motivate the players to return to their usual level and restore the fighting spirit of the team in the remaining commitments of the season.

The administration stated in its official statement:

“The principle of reward and punishment is the basis of correct administrative work, especially since we have provided all the requirements for success and stability for the team since we took over our responsibilities, and we have spared no effort in supporting the players at all levels.”

The committee added:

“The last two losses have left a negative impact on the image of the team, and we as management cannot stand idly by, which is why this decision was made to ensure the return of seriousness and discipline within the group.”

The statement continued:

“The team still has commitments that we must rise to meet, and we trust in our players' ability to correct the situation, especially since Al-Zawraa's fans deserve a team that fights for the badge in every match.”

The fans of Al-Nawaris are awaiting the players' reaction on the field, amidst calls for a responsible stand from everyone to emerge from the cycle of fluctuation and restore the team's brilliance in the upcoming matches.
