Turkish media reports have revealed that Besiktas is making a serious move to contract Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, the star of Saudi Al Hilal, during the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to what was reported by "A Spor" newspaper, Besiktas management has made an official offer that includes a final purchase clause, with positive indications regarding the progress of negotiations between the two parties so far.

The same newspaper reported that Mitrovic himself shows a noticeable desire to return to European pitches, after a strong season in which he presented remarkable performances wearing the Al Hilal jersey.

Sources indicated that Turkish side Fenerbahce is fiercely competing to sign the 30-year-old Serbian international, making the battle between the two clubs more heated.

Despite the competition, Besiktas seems to be the more enthusiastic party to finalize the deal, despite the player's high salary, as the club seeks to benefit from potential support from sponsors to cover the costs of the contract.
