Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes, who plays for Italian club Roma, has agreed to return to his former club Boca Juniors after spending two seasons with the Giallorossi, according to reports from "Football Italia".

Paredes, 30 years old, has only one year left on his contract with Roma, which expires in the summer of 2026, but previous reports have indicated that it is unlikely the player will remain until the end of his current contract.

According to the report, the Argentine player has agreed to a 3-year contract with Boca Juniors, where he began his career and played for 13 years before moving to Europe for professional experience.

Boca is expected to complete the deal officially by paying the buyout clause in Paredes' contract, which amounts to 3.5 million euros, with the official announcement to be made after the team's participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, where they are placed in Group C alongside Bayern Munich, Auckland City, and Benfica.
