French media reports have confirmed that French club Monaco continues its interest in signing French midfielder Paul Pogba, the former star of Juventus, during the summer transfer window.

Pogba, who is 32 years old, is a free agent after serving a suspension that was imposed on him in September 2023 due to failing a doping test while with Juventus, which kept him out of action for nearly two years.

The French newspaper "L'Équipe" reported that Monaco is in advanced negotiations with Pogba to persuade him to join the team, despite not having reached a final agreement yet, indicating the French club's determination to acquire the player's services.

It is worth noting that the official transfer market for clubs not participating in the Club World Cup will begin on July 1, but free agents like Pogba are allowed to sign with clubs at any time during the season.
