Al-Hilal forced a draw against Real Madrid with a score of 1-1 in the first round of the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup, in a match held at Hard Rock Stadium.

Both Real Madrid and Al-Hilal raised their points tally to one point.

Real Madrid took the lead in the match through Gonzalo Garcia, after a quick counter-attack, which ended with a ball to Rodrygo who sent a cross from the right side that Garcia converted into the net in the 34th minute.

In the 41st minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Al-Hilal following a foul by Raul Asensio inside the penalty area, which Ruben Neves took to score the equalizer for Al-Hilal.

Real Madrid did not deliver the expected performance throughout the 90 minutes, as the players showed significant fatigue due to the weather, in addition to the brilliance of Al-Hilal players who were the better side, especially in the first half.

In the 90th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Real Madrid after a foul by Al-Qahhtani on Garcia, after consulting the video technology, which Valverde took, but Yassine Bounou saved it.
