The International People's Stadium will host a highly anticipated traditional match tomorrow, Thursday, June 19, 2025, between the Air Force and Erbil, as part of the fifth and thirty rounds of the Iraqi Stars League, with the kickoff scheduled for 9:30 PM.

The first leg that brought the two teams together in Erbil ended with a victory for the Air Force by two goals to none, in a match that saw a clear dominance from the Falcons.

The Air Force enters the match amidst a difficult season filled with fluctuations, as the team has distanced itself early from the title race due to inconsistent performance and results, in addition to the repeated changes in the coaching staff, which have clearly affected the team's stability.

Although the team has distinguished elements in its lineup, its results have not lived up to expectations, currently occupying the fifth position with 57 points, and is striving to secure a spot that qualifies it for continental participation next season, with only a few rounds remaining until the end of the league.

As for Erbil, it started the season strongly and managed to top the standings in a few rounds, but soon fell into a spiral of declining performance and results, gradually losing its position in the competition and slipping to the middle ranks.

The northern team currently occupies the thirteenth position with 44 points, and is seeking to achieve a positive result that strengthens its position and completely distances it from any late calculations in the relegation battle.
