
Latest Developments in Zamalek's Negotiations with Hossam Abdel-Meguid
Media figure Ahmed Shoubeir, former Al Ahly star, revealed the latest developments in Zamalek's negotiations with the team's player Hossam Abdel-Meguid regarding the renewal of his contract.
Shoubeir stated during a radio interview: "Hossam Abdel-Meguid receives 2 million Egyptian pounds annually, which is a very low salary compared to player contracts in Egypt, and the club is working to increase his salary in the new contract to 10 or 11 million pounds."
He added: "Hossam Abdel-Meguid informed Zamalek officials that his primary desire is to pursue a European career, and the player's agent informed the club that he has offers from CSKA Moscow and Belgian clubs."
Shoubeir continued: "Zamalek has not received any official offers for Hossam Abdel-Meguid to discuss, and the club is currently working to finalize the player's future before the new season."
