The statement read: "Gerard Martin underwent successful surgery on the fifth metacarpal of his right hand, under the supervision of the club's doctors."
It continued: "The player is expected to be ready at the beginning of the preparatory phase for the new season."
It is worth noting that Martin is the backup player in the left-back position for the starting player Alex Balde, but he has participated in a large number of matches.
