FIFA Praises the History of Al Ahly Club

The official page of the International Football Federation "FIFA" dedicated to the clubs participating in the 2025 Club World Cup praised the history of Al Ahly Club.

Al Ahly will face Inter Miami on Sunday morning in the first round of the Club World Cup.

FIFA stated: "Founded on April 24, 1907, as a result of an idea brought by Omar Lotfy Pasha, the president of the Higher School Students Club."

It added: "The Egyptian Al Ahly Club is known as one of the most popular clubs in Egypt and one of the most popular clubs in the Middle East."

It continued: "Al Ahly has many legendary eras throughout its history, with each of its periods adorned with gold, and it is rare for an era to pass without winning titles since its establishment until today."

It went on: "Al Ahly is considered the African Club of the Century for the 20th century and is the most decorated and successful club at the continental level in the 21st century, thanks to successive generations that win titles and achieve accomplishments."

It also noted: "Al Ahly is well acquainted with the annual FIFA Club World Cup, having participated 9 times and won the bronze medal 4 times, and is now preparing to start its adventure in the new tournament."
