Brighton & Hove Albion announced on Friday that they have extended the contract of veteran midfielder James Milner for one additional year, a move aimed at enabling him to reach 1000 matches in his professional career.
Milner, who is 39 years old, joined Brighton in the summer of 2023 from Liverpool on a free transfer, following a long and distinguished career with the Reds.
The former England international participated in only 4 matches with Brighton last season before a hamstring injury he sustained in August kept him sidelined for a long period.
