Frenchman Paul Pogba has entered advanced negotiations with AS Monaco to join as a free agent, following the mutual termination of his contract with Juventus, according to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio from Sky Sport Italia.

Pogba, 32, is preparing to resume his football career after serving a suspension that began in September 2023 due to a doping violation while with the Italian team.

The French international is currently searching for a new destination, with strong indications of a potential return to Ligue 1 through Monaco. Although the summer transfer window will not officially open for clubs not participating in the Club World Cup until July 1, Pogba, as a free agent, can sign at any time.

Discussions between both parties are progressing positively, awaiting the player's decision, who has spent most of his career outside France since moving from Le Havre to Manchester United in 2009, and then to Juventus in 2012.
