Manchester United has joined the race of clubs interested in signing French striker Hugo Ekitike, a player for Eintracht Frankfurt, during the summer transfer window.

Ekitike, who is 22 years old, has recently been linked with a move to Liverpool and Chelsea, following his impressive performance with Frankfurt, where he participated in 48 matches last season, scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists.

According to Sky Sports reported today, Manchester United has made direct contact with the German club's officials to inquire about the transfer, but Frankfurt's management has set a price of 100 million euros for the sale of the player.

It is worth mentioning that Manchester United recently announced the signing of Brazilian Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton for 60 million pounds, as part of its efforts to strengthen its attacking line in preparation for the new season.
