Tottenham Hotspur has started serious moves to sign Bryan Mbeumo, a Brentford player, during the summer transfer window, just hours after announcing the appointment of Thomas Frank as the team's manager on a three-year contract.

Mbeumo, who is 25 years old, was previously linked with a move to Manchester United, but British network "Sky Sports" confirmed that Tottenham has entered the negotiations strongly following Frank's arrival, who has previously worked with the player at Brentford.

The report stated that Tottenham has held preliminary talks with Brentford regarding the deal, which could be worth up to £60 million.

Despite the player's previous interest in moving to Manchester United, the possibility of reuniting with Frank makes him open to joining Spurs.

It is noteworthy that Mbeumo participated in 42 matches with Brentford last season, successfully scoring 20 goals in various competitions.
