Al-Nasr Involves Al-Hilal with Liverpool Over Nunez
Thursday 12-06-2025
Reports have revealed that English club Liverpool has set a price of no less than £59 million for the release of Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez, amid significant interest from Saudi club Al-Hilal in acquiring him.

Al-Hilal is looking to strengthen its attacking line with a global star following the conclusion of the FIFA Club World Cup, and sees Nunez as a prominent option despite the controversy surrounding his performance during the last season with the 'Reds'.

Liverpool based its financial assessment of Nunez on a previous offer from Al-Nasr worth €70 million during the winter transfer window, which the English club rejected due to its urgent need for the player's services at that time.

Within the Al-Hilal camp, opinions have been divided regarding the deal, with some believing that Nunez's declining numbers, particularly scoring only 7 goals in 47 matches, do not justify the potential value of the transfer.

Supporters, on the other hand, point out that he shines when participating as a starter, having scored 25 goals and provided 13 assists in 49 matches he started in the starting lineup, averaging a contribution every 1.6 matches.
