Officially.. Dortmund announces the signing of Jude Bellingham
The German club Borussia Dortmund officially announced in a statement that it has signed English international midfielder Jude Bellingham from Sunderland.
The club said: "Borussia Dortmund has signed midfielder Jude Bellingham from the newly promoted Sunderland to the Premier League."
It added: "The English international signed with the eight-time German champions on Tuesday afternoon, and the contract will last until June 30, 2030."
It concluded: "Bellingham will travel with the team to the Club World Cup in the United States on Friday and will initially wear the number 77 during the tournament."
The deal cost Dortmund's coffers 33 million euros as a fixed fee, in addition to 5 million euros in incentives and bonuses, along with Sunderland receiving 15% of any future sale of the player.
