Al-Nasr Approves Sale of Remaining Contract Duration for Al-Lajami to Al-Hilal
The clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr have reached a final agreement regarding the sale of the remaining duration of defender Ali Al-Lajami's contract, after Al-Hilal raised its offer to 4 million riyals, according to sources from the sports newspaper 'Al-Riyadiyah'.
Al-Hilal had initially submitted an offer of 2.5 million riyals to acquire the player before the start of the Club World Cup on June 14, but Al-Nasr's management requested the inclusion of Al-Hilal player Musab Al-Juwair in the deal, which was rejected by the Al-Hilal side.
After intensive negotiations, both parties agreed to finalize the deal purely financially, without player exchanges, with an official announcement expected in the coming hours before the end of the exceptional transfer period on Tuesday.
Al-Hilal had previously signed with Al-Lajami on May 28 for a contract extending for three seasons, after he entered the free period, but his official participation was not possible due to his contract with Al-Nasr continuing until September 10.
For his part, Al-Lajami's agent, Abdul Rahman Al-Khnein, clarified that his contract with Al-Hilal officially starts on September 10, coinciding with the end of the summer transfer period, while the player is currently joining the Saudi national team camp in preparation for the CONCACAF Championship.
