Barcelona Sets Date for Return to Camp Nou
Barcelona has laid out a clear plan to return to its historic stadium, Camp Nou, at the start of the 2025/2026 season, after a period of playing temporarily at Montjuïc due to renovation works.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", the first match that Barcelona will play at Camp Nou will be in the fifth round of La Liga, scheduled for either September 20 or 21, after La Liga approved the club's request to play the first four rounds of the competition away from home.
Previous reports had indicated Barcelona's desire to return to its stadium in mid-September, given the difficulties of continuing at Montjuïc due to logistical issues.
Regarding the UEFA Champions League, the Catalan club understands that coordination with UEFA will not be as flexible, as the first round of the group stage will take place on September 16, 17, or 18, and UEFA requires all matches in this stage to be played at the same stadium.
Despite this, Barcelona is confident in completing the return to Camp Nou during September, coinciding with the start of domestic and continental competitions.
