The English club Manchester City has reached a final agreement with French club Olympique Lyon to sign international star Rayan Cherki during the summer transfer window, as confirmed by the French newspaper "L'Équipe".

The signing of Cherki comes as part of Manchester City's efforts to strengthen their squad in preparation for the new season and the anticipated participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States.

The newspaper confirmed that the 21-year-old French player will sign a contract with Manchester City that extends for five years, and he is expected to join the team's squad in the coming days.

Rayan Cherki participated in 44 matches with Olympique Lyon during the past season, delivering impressive performances, scoring 12 goals and providing 20 assists, making him one of the top assist providers in Europe during the season.
