Christian Kivu Bids Farewell to Parma and Approaches to Coach Inter Milan
Monday 09-06-2025
The Romanian coach Christian Kivu bid farewell to Parma in preparation for taking over the coaching position of Inter Milan, succeeding the Italian Simone Inzaghi, who left to coach Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Kivu is considered one of the former stars of Inter, having played for the Nerazzurri from 2007 until the end of his career in 2014, and subsequently worked within the club's coaching staff, progressing through the youth teams.

Kivu wrote on his Instagram account: "I thank the club, the coaching staff, the players, and the fans for their trust in me and our project. We overcame obstacles together and wrote a chapter in the history of Parma that will always remain in my heart."

Kivu had taken over coaching Parma last February, succeeding Fabio Pecchia, marking his first coaching role since leaving the Inter youth team last summer.

According to Italian media reports, Kivu has agreed to coach Inter Milan on a two-season contract, for 2.5 million euros annually, and is set to officially start his journey in the coming days, leading the team in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States from June 14 to July 13.
