Harvey Elliott, the midfielder for Liverpool FC, made intriguing statements regarding his future with the team, amid feelings of insufficient appreciation and limited starting appearances during the last season.

Elliott stated in his remarks while with the England U21 team at the European Championship held in Slovakia: "I am now 22 years old and will turn 23 next season. I don't want to waste years of my career, as this profession is short, and no one knows what may happen in the future."

He added, "I love Liverpool and have supported this club since I was young, but in the end, what matters is what suits my career. If leaving is the best option for my development as a player, I will make the right decision."

He continued, speaking about one of his most prominent moments last season: "I thought my goal against Paris Saint-Germain would be a turning point that would give me the coach's confidence, and I expected to start in the Premier League afterward, but the final decision is not in my hands; it is in the hands of the coach, who led us to win the title."

Despite participating in 28 matches across all competitions last season, Elliott only started two matches in the Premier League, compared to 53 matches he played the previous season.
