Reports have revealed that the new defender of Al-Hilal, Ali Al-Lajami, will not be among the options for Italian coach Simone Inzaghi in the 2025 Club World Cup due to an obstacle related to the timing of his registration.

The player's agent, Abdul Rahman Al-Khnein, explained that Al-Lajami's contract with Al-Hilal will come into effect on September 10, which coincides with the last days of the summer transfer period in Saudi Arabia.

Based on this timing, Al-Hilal will not be able to register the player in their squad for the Club World Cup, as it requires the official termination of his current contract with Al-Nassr before registering him as an Al-Hilal player.

Al-Lajami had signed with the club in a free transfer deal after entering the free period of his contract with Al-Nassr, but the management of Al-Nassr refuses to terminate the contract before its expiration without financial compensation, which is rejected by Al-Hilal's management.

Despite the player's strong desire to join early, his agent confirmed that they have contacted a specialized lawyer to examine the possibility of legally terminating the contract; however, the legal opinion completely rejected this scenario.

Al-Lajami, a player for the Saudi national team, continues to seek an exit that would allow him to participate in the global tournament, but all indicators suggest that his official appearance with Al-Hilal will be delayed until after September 10.
