Spanish media reports have revealed that FC Barcelona is prepared to negotiate the departure of its young player Gerard Martin during the summer transfer window, provided a suitable financial offer is made.

According to the newspaper "Sport", English club Wolverhampton Wanderers, where agent Jorge Mendes holds significant influence, has shown interest in acquiring the left-back, given Barcelona's desire to achieve financial benefit from the deal.

Barcelona is open to allowing Gerard Martin to leave if an offer exceeding 12 million euros is received, even though the player was not initially available for sale. However, his impressive performances towards the end of the season and the scarcity of players in his position have increased his market value.

This interest comes after Gerard's participation in crucial matches this season, especially following Alejandro Balde's injury, where he earned the trust of coach Hans Flick and showcased notable performance.

Barcelona aims to utilize the potential financial return from the transfer to sign a more experienced left-back, such as Alejandro Grimaldo, as part of the plan to enhance the team for the upcoming season.

At the same time, Gerard prefers to stay with the team, but Wolverhampton is prepared to offer a high salary and a long-term contract, which could contribute to finalizing the deal soon.
