Pochettino Comments on Possibility of Returning to Tottenham
Sunday 08-06-2025
Mauricio Pochettino, the current head coach of the United States national team and former manager of Tottenham Hotspur, clarified his position regarding a return to the managerial role at Spurs next season, following Australian coach Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham had announced, two days ago, the dismissal of Postecoglou from his position, despite recently winning the European League against Manchester United, which opened the door to many speculations about the identity of the next coach.

Media reports have once again linked Pochettino's name to taking over the coaching of Tottenham, alongside other names such as Thomas Frank, the Brentford coach.

In his statements, Pochettino said: "Since my departure in 2019, my name always appears among the candidates whenever I am available, and the managerial position at Tottenham is vacant. If you look at the rumors, you will find a list of 100 coaches, so there is no need to worry about it."

He added: "If something real happens, you will definitely see it, but I cannot talk about something unrealistic at the moment."

The Argentine coach concluded his remarks by saying: "Look at my current situation and the club's situation, and you will know the answer easily, right? We are only talking about this because Tottenham is a club I love very much, just like Newell's Old Boys and Espanyol."
