The Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced the opening of the stands at King Abdullah Sports City "Jewel" Stadium for free for fans, in support of the national team in their crucial match against Australia next Tuesday.

This announcement came via the federation's official account on the "X" platform, stating: "Nation's fans, in appreciation of your continuous support, it has been decided to open the stands of the Jewel Stadium for free in the Green's match against Australia."

The Saudi national team is facing this decisive match as part of the final round of the third stage of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, with the ambition of securing a direct qualification spot.

The Green requires a victory by a margin of five goals or more to guarantee direct qualification to the World Cup, without the need to enter the complex fourth stage of the qualifiers.

If a sweeping victory is not achieved, the team will have to enter the next stage, where teams are divided into two groups, and the top teams qualify, while the second-placed teams face each other to determine who qualifies for the global playoff.
