La Liga has announced that Brazilian Raphinha, winger of Barcelona, has won the Player of the Year award for the 2024/2025 season after his remarkable performance with the Catalan team.
Raphinha had an outstanding season with Barcelona, playing 36 matches, 32 of which were as a starter, scoring 18 goals and providing 11 assists, making him the sixth top scorer in the league and the second most assists after his teammate Lamine Yamal.
Raphinha excelled in the final voting against a group of stars, including Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Isco, and Oihan Sanse, who had previously won the Player of the Month award during the season.
Raphinha's award comes days after his coach Hans Flick won the Best Coach award after leading Barcelona to the league title with 88 points, surpassing Real Madrid.
